Every piece is handcrafted locally with intention, encouraging textile recycling, challenging fast fashion norms, and inspiring a new wave of conscious creators across the city.

A slow fashion, upcycled brand founded by Dinka Fredrich. FREDRICH crafts one of a kind garments from secondhand, vintage, and excess fabrics. Beyond its striking aesthetic, the label employs and supports local seamstresses and beaders. The brand is PETA approved vegan and aligned with Fashion Revolution principles, emphasising ethical design, circular fashion, and positive community impact

Born in Cape Town and led by founder Sheri, Museā is a slow fashion label grounded in thoughtful design and nostalgic craftsmanship. Inspired by childhood creativity and the calming ritual of sewing, each Museā piece is created with natural textures, soft silhouettes, and intentional storytelling. Produced locally in small batches, the brand invites wearers to embrace beauty that’s quiet and lasting, clothing for women who move through the world with grace and soul.

Women Empowerment Charities

Design26 Foundation
Founded in 2018 by Suraya Williams, with humble beginnings in her garage, Suraya began teaching girls aged 15–20 sewing skills as a response to rampant unemployment and limited opportunities in Mitchell’s Plain by providing accredited sewing training, mentoring, and paid job opportunities, Design26 has empowered over 100 young women.
 
Give Her Hope
Founded in 2014 by Leanne Charlton, Give Her Hope was born out of Salt River’s Sunshade women’s group to offer training and income opportunities for disadvantaged women, Starting with repurposed ingredients, Leanne crafted a line of vegan, plastic free soap made from coconut oil, essential oils, and clay. Each bar is handmade by local women trained through the initiative, uplifting both entrepreneurship and sustainable craft.
